Youth Group Programs/Camps

Notice: Per the Vice President of Research’s Resumption of Research plan, on April 2, 2021, we moved to Phase 4. High school students or other volunteers are only allowed during Phase 4 with specific pre-approval of the OVPR. Please see the FAQ. Justification is required for specific undergraduates to participate in research during Phase 4, so that health and safety is maximized and the research mission is protected.

If you are hosting an individual minor to conduct an investigational project, please see the Minors in Research Page.

Fill out the forms for Youth Programs at Risk Management.

  • Complete and submit the following:
  • Hazard assessment (adapt the MIR haz assessment form then link to it)
  • Emergency Plan (lab/field accident, medical emergency, chemical spill, weather/nature emergencies)
  • List of experiments

Contact Robert Thomas or Lee Poore with questions or to submit the above. The risk assessment and the forms will be reviewed by EHS and an approval letter will be sent to the Principal investigator/Program Director once the review is complete.
